The LOW-PROFILE IONIZATION SMOKE ALARM, from Kidde, has a sleek design that protrudes just half an inch from the ceiling. The ionization feature works by detecting changes in voltage that are caused when small particles from flame producing fires enter the sensing chamber. The lithium battery (included) ensures protection during a power outage. Comes with a 10-year limited warranty.
